Tips & Tricks Part 1 -- Communities, Alternatives, Exporting/Importing

The following Trending Tips & Trick information has been provided by our good friend
Ian Gilman

Rdio Exodus

Word on the street is that Rdio is shutting down. This page is to help support people on their way to a post-Rdio life.

Exporting/Moving Your Rdio Data

Rumor has it that Rdio is working on a Google-Takeout-style data export for before the system shuts down entirely. Meanwhile, there are various other options available.
Keep in mind when exporting to other services that some of them have limits on how many tracks they'll store (Spotify is 10,000 tracks, for instance).

Rdio Lovers Contact Form

Here is the link to the Rdio Lovers Contact form. I’ve loaded it to a Google Drive and it can be shared with anyone that has the link. I don’t know how many people can download it at the same time so please be patient if there is a delay with the download.
Instructions are on the form regarding how to save and send it back. All you need to do right now is click the link below and once the document opens, click the download button at the top of the screen and save it to your computer. After that, just follow the instructions on the form.

Rdio Lost & Found Bulletin Board

Hello, this is Nevada (my Rdio profile name).  This blog space is a place for Rdio members to list where they can be found at other services as well as to share where they will more than likely end up after Rdio shuts down -- hopefully we will all be able to find each other again.

There is also currently a platform site that Mike Garret (Rdio member) has put together as a place for us to continue sharing conversations and to stay connected regardless of what service one chooses to move to after the shut down.  There is also a possibility that we will be able to continue sharing the FNMTW playlists on that platform.  The invitation to join the site is located at:
https://rdioloversslackin.herokuapp.com  I highly recommend you visit and sign up to join us.

Additionally at this blog site, we intend to provide a posting that will contain Tips & Tricks on how best to move your playlists to other services.  That post will be entered below this one once it is compiled from other Rdio members as I am not the tech guy here.

However, not being the tech guy, I can and will shortly create a fillable PDF form and post it here on this posting.  That form will capture all the information that you are willing to provide and will contain an email button to send me the data.  I will then compile everyone's data into a spreadsheet and send it back out to you via the email address that you send the form to me.  That email address will not be shared with anyone -- only the information that you provide inside the form itself will be shared and distributed out.

Please share your lost and found information in the comments section below.  If you do not have an OpenID to leave comments in a blog, choose "Anonymous" from the drop-down list to post your comment.  Please list your Rdio profile name first within the comment field so folks can easily identify you and then list any of the current services where we can find you.  If you know where you'll end up (such as Spotify or Apple Music, etc.), please list that as well.

With that, enjoy the ride...
